UQ Medicine offers a provisional entry pathway for school-leavers: 3 years of an undergraduate degree at UQ followed by 4 years of the Doctor of Medicine. With 185 direct UQ places plus 60 CQU and 30 UniSC pathway places, it's one of Australia's largest programs.
UQ is notable for its transparent selection formula: 25% UCAT + 25% ATAR + 50% interview. SJT is excluded from UCAT ranking and used only as a tiebreaker. Students must maintain a 5.0 GPA (on 7.0 scale) to progress to the MD.

Min 48/80 MMI Score Required:

How to prepare for a MMI interview
- Your worst station matters more than your best. Assessors do not confer, and scores are aggregated across the circuit, so consistency beats brilliance.
- Practise finishing slightly early rather than being cut off. An assessor can only score what they actually hear.
- Drill the reset between stations. Carrying frustration from a bad station into the next one turns one weak score into three.
- Structure beats content at this length. Signpost your answer — say how many points you will make, then make them.
