    The UWA Medicine Interview

    MMI
    8 × 7-minute stations (5 min answering + 2 min reading, in-person)

A circuit of short, independent stations. You read a prompt, respond for a fixed time, then move to a new assessor and an unrelated scenario.

We have not verified UWA's interview dates for the current cycle. Undergraduate interviews across Australia generally run from November to mid-January, with invitations from mid-October — but check UWA's own admissions page for your year rather than relying on that range.

How to prepare for a MMI interview

    • Your worst station matters more than your best. Assessors do not confer, and scores are aggregated across the circuit, so consistency beats brilliance.
    • Practise finishing slightly early rather than being cut off. An assessor can only score what they actually hear.
    • Drill the reset between stations. Carrying frustration from a bad station into the next one turns one weak score into three.
    • Structure beats content at this length. Signpost your answer — say how many points you will make, then make them.
